A global digital platform for a cohesive brand presence

Kelo-Cote, the #2 global brand in silicone scar gel treatments, required investment and rejuvenation following its acquisition from Sinclair Pharma in 2016. Alliance, the current owners, tasked us with delivering a global digital platform to create a cohesive brand image, allowing management by both Alliance and third-party distributors on a market-by-market basis.

The challenge

The challenge was to develop a platform that maintained strong brand control while providing flexibility to local teams. It needed to be easy to use and adaptable, incorporating local language solutions and varying product portfolios based on specific market needs.

The strategy

We focused on understanding the skills and resources available within Alliance’s global team and third-party distributors. This informed the development of a platform that enabled brand consistency while minimising the need for direct oversight by the international brand team. The solution required local language options and adjustable content based on each market’s specific product offerings.

The solution

We delivered a multi-language, multi-locale website, customisable to match each market’s available product portfolio. Features could be switched on or off, depending on local regulatory and trading requirements, and deployment used a systematic, centralised codebase. The digital platform also included campaign landing pages, downloadable content, testimonials, and high-quality brand assets such as images, videos, and key opinion leader features.

The impact

The platform was launched at a global congress in Prague to positive feedback from country managers and distributors, sparking interest and rapid adoption. Within the first six months, we launched four localised sites, followed by nine more across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. In the second year, the platform was rolled out to 18 additional markets.
